Gil Lunsford
The numbers are certainly impressive-over $500 million in loans originated, 22 years in the mortgage banking industry, the last 10 with Mason Dixon Funding where he’s overseen more than $1.5 billion in loans while supervising the company’s Virginia operations. Yet what has made Gil such a tremendous success in his career stems not just from figures, but from how he treats both his customers and those loan officers that work for him. Both groups are afforded the utmost respect, earning him their appreciation and their loyalty, which in the case of the clients has resulted in countless repeat customers. As a Mason Dixon Senior Vice President, he has trained and played a big part in the development of some of the company’s top producers.
After 22 years in the mortgage business, Gil has the opportunity to now embark on his dream to work with his brother and one of his great friends in the development/construction business. “I am very proud of Valley Development and thankful for the opportunities that have come our way! A lover of horses and an avid big game hunter, Gil and his wife are building their dream house on his family’s farm in Highland County, Va. Born in Waynesboro, Va.; he lived much of his childhood in Falls Church, Va. and graduated from Emory & Henry College (Va.) with a B.A. in Business and Economics.
